When an employee is recruited to the company, the first thing the human resources department needs to do is sign a company contract with that employee. A contract is made between the employee and the employer that clearly states the terms and conditions related to the job. The contract also clearly states the obligations and responsibilities of both parties and legally ensures that each party will perform its obligations in the agreement.

Managing labor contracts is an equally important task as signing the contract. There should be careful oversight in the procedures for creating a new contract to manage until it expires. This requires a powerful and automated management system to easily handle all contract activities. Odoo ERP system will effectively assist you in managing all employee contracts recorded in your database.

The Employees module in Odoo will track employee job information, contact details, salary structure, and work schedule. It allows you to create your own contract type. Odoo makes contract creation and processing procedures easier for users or human resource managers of a company.

To track and manage contracts, go to the Employee -> Labor contracts module. On the home screen, you will see a dashboard with a list of contracts. There are different views:

Kanban style: you can see all available contracts on the dashboard


List view style: The 'list' view contains a more detailed overview of contracts than the 'kanban' view. It displays all the important information related to the contract in preview such as Contract Reference, Employee Name, Job Location, Work Schedule, Contract Term and Company.


Filters - Like in any other module in Odoo, Employee contract management also contains advanced filter options to ease the search process.


If you are looking for a specific employment contract, you can apply a filter to the available documents and Odoo will sort the required contract according to the applied filter. In addition to the default filters, Odoo ensures many custom filters to make data retrieval easy.

In addition, Odoo also supports you in managing contract status. Helps you keep track of contracts that are about to expire, need to be renewed...
